A little trick really "mean to your students" to encourage better correct their dictation.
I calculate the number of sentences. I divide by 2.
For example, a text of 20 sentences, I have a total of 10.
This means that students are entitled to 10 errors in their dictation. Otherwise, they must invent sentences and write them according to the number of errors. Naturally, the 10 errors are calculated! Although it is up to you, depending on the difficulty of the dictation or the level of students.
Say a student was entitled to 10 errors and he was 20. It has exceeded the "acceptable" by 10. He will therefore write 10 sentences of at least 10 words. If it was 30, it will make 20 sentences 20 words ... Although I always put a maximum number of words per sentence. Personally, more than 15 sentences to apply all the same minimum 15 words per sentence.
For students who are very strong, do not hesitate to reduce the scale or not to leave their chances. For pupils, split by a larger number.
